What inspired you to become an actor?
My father was a stage actor back in Chicago. When I was a child, I would go with my mother and younger brother to watch him.
What keeps you motivated in such a competitive industry?
I’m not concerned about competing, only improving and enjoying the experiences for myself.
What is your process in preparing for an audition?
There are so many ways I prepare, but they all start with understanding the text, and using my imagination.
Has the strike impacted you?
Absolutely. Negatively, and positively. I think whenever I’ve been faced with a “downtime” it’s made me more resourceful in other ways to be a better artist and creator.
What does success look like for you?
Great personal health, happy family, healthy personal relationships, travel and a career in art.
What advice would you give someone who seeks to become an actor?
Challenge yourself to work on what you’re not so good at. If you’re intimidated by something in this field, investigate it.
