What inspired your modeling and acting career? I became inspired to become an Actor/Model after my career ended as a professional athlete. I never had any interests at all in the entertainment industry until a modeling agent who was also a sports agent followed my basketball career and he reached out to me about trying my hand at modeling and I said why not. I gave it a try and it turned out to be ver successful and then I fell into Acting by accident. I tagged along with a friend of mine to his acting class and the acting coach asked me to participate because I was sitting way in the back and they were short handed on students that day and I fell in love with it after I participated. And I have been doing both now for 14yrs. How do you manage the high level of competition in the industry? Wow. I manage the high level of competition in the industry by trying to stay relevant and staying busy. I am also always trying to work on and improve my craft. This is a very difficult and competitive industry and you absolutely have to be on top of your game and striving to get better daily. Just like when I was playing sports. I was always in the gym practicing and working on my game. The same principles apply in this industry. You always have to be practicing and working on the craft of acting and stepping outside of your comfort zone and pushing your limits. I strive to be the absolute best there is. I stay hungry. I stay motivated. Tell us about your new book.
My new book "The Rebirth & Resurrection of A New Man: Faithful & Focused", is the 2nd book that I have now written. The best thing about this book is that God gave me the vision and God guided me all throughout this book. He gave me the words to write. He spoke thru me in writing this book. I poured out my heart and passion in this book. I had to allow myself to die inside in order to be Reborn and Resurrected a better version of myself. Its about an internal battle that we all go thru on a daily basis. That battle of the Inner Me and the Enemy. That battle of spiritual warfare. That battle of tug of war between the flesh and the Spirit that we all go thru. And it came down to whether I was going to submit to God or submit to death. Of course I chose submitting to God. What advice would you give someone who seeks to work in the entertainment industry? The advice that I would give to someone seeking to work in the entertainment industry is that you have to have very, very thick skin. You have to be ready to be told NO way more than you will be told YES. And do not, by any means, think that you are going to be an overnight success. It can take years upon years before you finally get the big break that you are wanting. You better come in ready to work hard, harder that you have ever worked before. Keep the faith, and trust the process. What keeps you motivated? What keeps me motivated is knowing that God created me for a divine purpose. I know, I trust, and I believe without a doubt that God put greatness in me and I will not give up until that greatness helps to change the world. My motivation is to make an impact in as many people lives as I can. My motivation is to empower and inspire the masses. My motivation is to become one of the most powerful, influential Motivational speakers in the world. How can we follow you?
