![]() How does the arts impact our culture? Art is indeed a deeply subjective and multifaceted experience, resonating with people in varied and profound ways. Tracing back to its early forms—including music, visual art, dance, and written works—art has served as an emotional outlet for artists, allowing them to empty their "emotional cup" and communicate feelings that may be difficult to express otherwise. Over time, art's role has evolved into something even more powerful. It has become an expressive medium, a form of communication that transcends mere words. From political activism to cultural representation, art has the ability to challenge norms, provoke thought, and give voice to societal issues. Today, art is more than a collection of creative works; it's a culture in itself, drawing people together across boundaries and fostering connections between diverse backgrounds. Whether it's a painting that speaks to the soul or a musical performance that unites a crowd, art has the unparalleled ability to create shared human experiences. The arts extend far beyond simple entertainment or aesthetic appreciation. The arts is a vital expression of our cultural identity, a tool for political and social change, a means of community engagement and healing. The arts continue to shape and reflect our evolving experiences and aspirations, uniting us in our common humanity and enriching our lives in countless ways. What inspired you to become an author?
While my early fascination with pretty penmanship and colorful pens and pencils led me to spend hours as a young girl crafting short stories and poems, it wasn't what inspired me to become an author. My true motivation came from a profound personal journey. I wrote and published my first book as a means of healing for myself, never imagining the impact it would have on others. The realization of this impact occurred when I sold my very first book to a young lady looking to rent an apartment in my complex. Ironically, I met her while picking up my first shipment of books. A few weeks later, I received an email from her, expressing her gratitude. She shared that my book was "her story" and that it had inspired her to leave a toxic relationship. This deep personal connection and knowing that my words could touch lives in such a significant way ignited my inspiration to become an author. From that moment on, I understood that my purpose was more than just writing; it was about reaching people on a profound level, resonating with their personal experiences, and possibly inspiring positive change through my written works. My motivation as an entrepreneur is deeply rooted in the flexibility and freedom that this path affords me. As I'm raising my granddaughter, who has additional needs, entrepreneurship provides me with the invaluable ability to be present for her—whether it's attending her numerous doctor's appointments or volunteering at her activities. Entrepreneurship also allows me to blend my purpose and passion with the agility to adapt and pivot as needed. I can respond to the ever-changing demands of both the industry and life itself. This unique combination of professional autonomy and personal fulfillment keeps me energized and driven, constantly reminding me why I chose this entrepreneurial journey in the first place. When people hire you to speak, what kind of experience should they expect? When people hire me to speak, they should expect a sincere and transformative experience tailored to everyone from troubled youth to high-level CEOs. My speaking approach is characterized by a level of transparency that enables me to engage with audiences in a meaningful way, making a genuine impact that goes beyond superficial emotions. I communicate heart to heart, using clarity to engage my audience with impact, becoming a catalysis for real growth. Rather than providing a temporary feel-good message that fades away once attendees leave the room, I draw on real-world experiences and formal training to deliver powerful words that spark an intrinsic desire for lifelong change. My goal is not just to inspire but to empower, helping individuals access their inner confidence and elevate their lives to new heights. What does success look like for you? For me, success is deeply linked with leaving a lasting legacy of transformation. It goes beyond personal achievements and touches the lives of those around me, including my children and future generations. I find fulfillment in being a thought leader, guiding change, and having a tangible impact on the lives of people I encounter through both my professional works and personal life. Success also means maintaining a harmonious integration between work and my personal life, allowing me to pursue what I love and share those passions with others. It's not just about reaching goals or achieving recognition; it's about creating a meaningful and positive difference, inspiring others, and living a life that resonates with my values and desires. Ultimately, success for me is a multifaceted journey that reflects both personal fulfillment and the ability to contribute positively to the world around me.
