This summer, young artists take center stage in a vibrant retelling of the Broadway musical Once on This Island! Set on a Caribbean island swept by wind and guided by gods, this powerful tale of love, courage, and hope comes to life through dance, music, and theater.
Over the course of two weeks, youth ages 6–16 have trained in acting, singing, and dance, bringing this beloved Broadway tale to life. Now, they take the stage to showcase their hard work, creativity, and joy in a magical story of love, loss, and the power of storytelling. Once on This Island is a Tony Award-winning musical that tells the story of Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl who sets out on a journey guided by the island gods to prove that love is stronger than death. Set against the backdrop of a tropical island divided by class and color, the show blends vibrant music, Afro-Caribbean dance, and powerful storytelling into an unforgettable tale of resilience and destiny. |
