How has the arts impacted your life?
The arts saved my life. When I was growing up in Indianapolis, IN, after I graduated high school, I had many jobs that I did not like nor did I feel fulfilled. I was absolutely miserable. It wasn't until I went to college that I realized that I was an artist.

Tell us about your training and other preparation to maintain viability in this industry.
I graduated with my degree in theatre from The University of Akron. But when I moved to Atlanta, I knew practically nothing about tv/film because I had only done theatre. I took plenty of workshops/classes to learn about it. Also, you meet many creatives in those classes. They are your peers and you can make a lot of connections.  But I learned the most from being on sets. It didn't matter if I was number 1 on the call sheet or an extra,  those experiences were priceless.

What keeps you motivated?
What keeps me motivated is that I realize that I'm blessed and that GOD chose me to be in the position that I'm in. He could've chosen anyone but he chose me.  Taking what he has blessed me with for granted, would be disrespectful. I understand that all of my blessings come from him.

Share your most proud experience as an actor and why?
My proudest experience was booking my very first speaking role on tv.  I did an episode of a show called, Drop Dead Diva. I played FBI Agent #2. My line was, "Yes sir.". hahaha. I was so proud and my family thought that I was famous. That was a great moment.

What is your "IT" factor?
I don't believe in the "IT' factor. We all have the "IT" factor because we are all unique. I do believe in hard work, perseverance, and faith.

Describe the role you desire to play.
Hmmm. I would love to play a superhero in a DC/Marvel movie/tv show. I also would love to play Prince. He is my favorite artist of all time.

What's next for Anthony Dalton II?
What's next is season 2 of Tyler Perry's SISTAS on BET. I'm in the upcoming biopic miniseries, GENIUS: Aretha Franklin on the Disney Plus app. Also I'm working on a couple of projects with a talented film maker friend of mine by the name of Justin Poage.  And honestly, whatever the good LORD has in store for me.
