What inspired you to write a book?
In the back of my mind, I always wanted to write a book, just never knew where to start. I have always had a passion for reading. Therefore, I would jot down notes here and there and finally the notes turned into pages. After my oldest sister passed away, and my mom became ill that inspired me to start writing again. I knew I had to complete this book and have it published for my mom to read it.
What kind of impact do you hope that your book will have with people?
It is my hope that this book will restore joy, peace, happiness, and love to everyone that reads it. I also believe if one is open, they will feel the presence of God as they read, apply, and self-reflect upon the words written on these pages. My ultimate goal is if one does not know the Lord as their savior this book will lead them to accept Christ as their Savior.
How has the pandemic impacted you?
The pandemic impacted me physically by my husband and I being a victim of COVID-19, and mentally by losing some many friends and associates. However, the pandemic also was a blessing because I had the opportunity for almost a year to work from home, which allowed me to focus on my book and my mom health. I feel this pandemic was a death sentence, but God turned it around to be a new beginning in my life.
In the next five years, what would you like to accomplish?
In the next five years I would like to write a series of children’s books. I would also like to write a book that outline how parents can teach their children from birth to for children to learn and enter kindergarten ready to learn. Social and communication skills are vital for children to learn to share and play together.
